Add light out of darkness, mix a pop of vibrant color, combine with a dash of whimsy and you have the perfect recipe for a Sara Hadley Painting.

After almost 20 years of managing corporate projects and running analytics and reports, I was ready to reconnect with my creative side. In 2009, I signed up for a community Oil Painting class and soon an avid and happy artist was revealed. I never understood the beauty of Still Life painting until I saw a Daniel Keys painting in a gallery in San Antonio. Inspired, I started working on still life set ups at home while taking oil painting classes to learn color mixing, value and composition. Still Life remains an obsession; it has taught me much about patience, color, shape and value. In late 2013, I began applying my oil painting skills to Portraits and Figures. I love painting people – there is such beauty in a glance, the knowing curve of a smile, or a unique pose – the possibilities are endless. In my art I hope that you find sensitivity, passion, joy and a bit of romance.
