Anna M. Hughes

Creativity always brings me joy. Learning crafts at a young age from my mother and my aunt has provided me with lasting memories and a unique bonding experience with them. I carried my love of art into my son’s elementary school, volunteering with art teachers and then onto painting murals in my son’s middle school gymnasium and library. And when curiosity piques my interest, I find a teacher and take a class. These include

·      Beading at Munro Crafts in Berkley, Michigan

·      Mosaics at Creative Arts Studio in Royal Oak

·      Watercolor with Marilynn Thomas and Pete Snodgrass

·      Ceramics at Anton Art Studio in Mount Clemens

·      Ceramic tile and sculpture at Pewabic Pottery, Detroit

·      Ceramics at Oakland Community College, Royal Oak

“I create from what I see and how I feel. Inspiration is everywhere.”
