On a fine day in September, Erica Chappuis (Exhibitions Chair) opened her beautiful home and studio to members of the board and interested others for a vigorous probe into who we have been, who we are, and who we want to be as a society. President Joan Smykowski brilliantly organized proceedings and wrangled those in attendance with the result that the meeting was productive (see the the President’s report in the October Newsletter), and we actually finished a little early.

The agenda and what came of it that day…
The group identified three issues that we can begin to address at once (see the President’s report in the October 2018 Newsletter):
Goal 1: Exhibitions - Improve the criteria and understanding of the jurying process for jurors and DSWPS members.
Goal 2: Programs - Improve programs for members.
Goal 3: Membership - Increase membership while improving the membership experience.
The Board will be focusing on the three goals during the next program year. Yet, we must have volunteers to take a leadership role.
